It's no surprise that the world is still experiencing a supply chain rut. Leaders need solutions that help in both the short and long term. In a recent article with Chief Executive Magazine, Managing Director Sean Laffere discusses how leaders can become more resilient to the continued challenges.
Nearshoring, not reshoring, for example, is one important issue. Sean says, "If we just open up a bunch of factories in the U.S., we’ll own the supply chain from end to end. Right? Not so fast. The truth is that much of what we consume still comes from the earth in its raw form, and there are limits to where we can get those materials."
Sean also discusses hedging supply chain finances, alternative materials, and governments' roles in helping companies pivot.
