Venkataraman Renganathan
Most recently at A&M, Mr. Renganathan has been leading a mandate on managing liquidity, developing and implementing a resolution plan for a large infrastructure conglomerate in India (thermal, wind, solar power generation and roads) with more than $14 billion in debt. In addition, he has also been managing two insolvency assignments in healthcare and in an operating power plant.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Renganathan spent three years at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, where he most recently served as an Operating Partner. In this role, he managed an investment portfolio of nearly half a million dollars. Previously, he spent three years at AECOM, where he served as Technical Director heading its energy business. Mr. Renganathan began his professional career at NTPC Ltd, India’s largest power generating utility. He spent 21 years there, the first 15 of which were in plant construction and operations before he shifted focus to corporate strategy.
Mr. Renganathan earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from India. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers India. He has also held numerous board positions. An Indian national, Mr. Venkataraman is fluent in English, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
