Paul Rheborg is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring in Munich. He brings more than 18 years of experience in international operational and financial restructuring and performance improvement projects.

Mr. Rheborg has worked on numerous international, complex projects, creating and implementing restructuring concepts. He is an expert in performance improvement and restructuring, as well as in business plans and liquidity forecasts. 

Additionally, Mr. Rheborg brings extensive project experience managing large stakeholder groups through restructuring processes and negotiating significant restructuring contributions from banks, customers and employees. He worked with clients across a range of industries, including industrial production, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, telecommunications and retail. Mr. Rheborg has supported clients by analyzing, preparing and improving their product profitability analysis in the light of price-increase negotiations.

Most recently, Mr. Rheborg acted as Chief Restructuring Officer for a German Tier 1 automotive supplier, where he was responsible for the preparation and implementation of a restructuring programme, including original equipment manufacturer price negotiations. Within the project, restructuring measures were developed (e.g., staff reduction via social plan, company collective agreement, plant closure, reorganisation of the organisation and process and material cost optimisation). Mr. Rheborg led negotiating the restructuring contributions from owners, financiers and customers.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Rheborg served as a Director with Ernst & Young in Germany, where he was responsible for establishing the German Automotive Supplier Restructuring unit and leading multiple automotive supplier restructuring projects. Before that, he worked with Roland Berger as a project manager, with a strong focus on developing and implementing operational restructuring concepts for German mid- and large- cap companies. Previously, Mr. Rheborg worked with Deloitte in London, Vienna and Munich for 10 years, focusing on large cross-European financial restructuring projects. 

Mr. Rheborg earned a BBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. He also studied in the MBA program of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mr. Rheborg is fluent in German and English.
