John Corrigan is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s U.S. Energy practice in Dallas. He specializes in helping clients develop and execute strategies to navigate energy transition and achieve environmental, social and governance and sustainability goals. Mr. Corrigan has worked with clients across a range of industries, including oil and gas, utility and related manufacturing enterprises.

With over 20 years in consulting plus an additional 10 years in industry, Mr. Corrigan has provided clients with market insights and executable strategies to navigate regulatory changes; grown clients' businesses, reduced costs and improved performance; developed and executed organic and in-organic growth strategies and strategic transformations; and facilitated management and board off-site strategy sessions.

Most recently at A&M, Mr. Corrigan has been involved in helping clients navigate the changes driven by energy transition and related sustainability reporting requirements and decarbonization of operations. He assists clients with evaluating decarbonization strategies and risk-to-achieve stated targets; developing operating and governance models for ongoing decarbonization efforts; and works on technology and acquisition due diligence of low carbon energy options and market strategies for low carbon products.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Corrigan spent over three years with Strategy& Pricewaterhouse Coopers U.S. oil and gas strategy group, where he most recently served as Partner. He worked with upstream, downstream and midstream clients, leading engagements in support of market entry, asset acquisition, trading, mergers and operating model changes. Most notably, Mr. Corrigan launched the liquified natural gas trading for a national natural gas utility, substantially reducing sourced LNG cost through supplier diversity. He also developed an early mover wind strategy for a municipal utility, doubling the forecast for wind energy deployment and sales over three years. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy with Murphy USA and Partner with Booz and Company.

Mr. Corrigan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a board member for the Fine Arts Chamber Players in Dallas.
