Senior hire brings nearly three decades of C-suite and consulting experience across large-scale business change and performance improvement.

London, 22nd September 2026 – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has appointed Danny Van D'huynslager as a Managing Director in its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. Based in A&M’s Brussels office, he will work with clients across the Benelux and wider Europe as part of PEPI’s Post Deal Transformation & Interim Management team.

His appointment reflects A&M’s continued investment in its European Private Equity Performance Improvement practice and its focus on attracting senior operators with first-hand experience of delivering major business change. Danny joins A&M’s growing European team, expanding the support it provides to investors and management teams seeking to turn strategic priorities into measurable results.

Danny brings extensive experience across both consulting and C-suite industry roles, having served as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, at Beaulieu International Group, he led the reset and delivery of the “One B.I.G.” enterprise transformation across 20 divisions, strengthening governance and execution discipline and delivering significant value above target ahead of schedule. 

Across his career, he has worked with boards and executive teams to reshape businesses, improve commercial performance and deliver change across decentralised organisations. His work has ranged from redesigning operating models and integrating businesses following transactions to improving pricing, margins and management discipline – with a strong focus on data-driven performance management, digital adoption and AI-enabled transformation.

At A&M, Danny will work with private equity firms and portfolio company management teams following transactions, helping turn strategic priorities into practical programmes that improve business performance. Drawing on his experience as both an adviser and senior executive, he will support management teams through significant periods of change, from reshaping operating models and improving commercial performance to integrating acquisitions and using data and AI to make better decisions.
