Andrew Lorken is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Performance Improvement in Sydney. He transforms operational areas in post-transaction situations where a new mandate or rapid improvement is required. His primary areas of concentration are operational due diligence, transformation strategy, supply chain improvement and managing transformation programs through to the promised benefits.

With more than 25 years in industry and global transformation consulting, Mr. Lorken has a balance of owning the target metrics and P&L as a COO and of leading large, complex transformations in collaboration with the client executive sponsor.

Prior to joining A&M, Andrew acted as COO at Australia’s PayTV operator, with a mandate to implement a digital-led transformation. He improved customer facing channels with a significant shift from inbound call centre transactions to end-to-end digital in the first two years.

Previously, at the national broadband network (nbn), Australia’s national wholesale telecom operator, Mr. Lorken was Executive General Manager (EGM) for Field Strategy and Workforce.  He led the transition from five workforce management systems (WFM) at each contracted network constructor into a single, centralised WFM owned by nbn. He also created the nbn workforce operations centre to manage Australia’s largest field workforce across the connections and assurance lifecycle. Prior to this, Mr. Lorken was a Partner at Accenture and EY and had his own firm supporting two major PE infrastructure investors.

Mr. Lorken earned a bachelor’s degree in management and law and more recently has completed courses at Harvard Business School in advanced operations strategy, commercial negotiation mastery, and digital platforms.  He served as a board member for start-up organisations and the Philippines’ third largest telecom operator.
