With more than 20 years of experience spanning technology development, private equity consulting experience, and AI analytics, Mr. Kumar has led over 200 diligence and transformation projects for tech-enabled companies and managed implementation of several performance improvement initiatives. He has worked with companies to enhance their operational workflows, data analysis and product delivery lifecycle, and create service and support models consistent with client’s growth strategy. 

Mr. Kumar’s notable engagements include leading the development and deployment of A&M’s generative AI toolset, DiligenceGPT, for private equity diligences; leading generative AI value creation plans, readiness assessment and implementation planning for private equity funds and portfolio companies; and leading multiple technology diligences of software development and tech-enabled companies, including assessing software architecture’s ability to support the scalability, reliability, and serviceability requirements and assessing the development processes for coding, testing, and release management.

Mr. Kumar also led the technology carve-out of a mid-market software development company from a $1+ billion parent company, focusing on separation of 10+business systems, two data centers, and the hiring of 14 IT staff. He led the design, development and deployment of a $700+ million royalty distribution system for ASCAP, a large media company.  

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kumar served as Managing Director at IVG Partners, where he supported strategic projects and M&A initiatives for cross-border IT services companies. He also worked as a Senior Manager at KPMG Consulting’s Media and Content practice, leading large scale technology projects, application and infrastructure optimization, IT governance, and outsourcing strategy for large companies.

Mr. Kumar earned a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from BIT Mesra, India and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
