Anne-Sophie Stirnemann
Recently at A&M, Dr. Stirnemann supported a company-wide transformation of a Tier-1 aerospace supplier, implementing a strategic target for each plant to improve efficiency and shopfloor productivity. She also worked on an eight-month quality recovery program for a multibillion revenue energy management company, overseeing multiple workstreams across Europe, China, India and the U.S.
Previously, Dr. Stirnemann led a cost transformation program for a multinational FMCG company, supporting their global SKU and portfolio rationalization, commercial organization redesign and commercial spend effectiveness. She was also involved in a larger portfolio and margin optimisation project for an industrials power tools manufacturer.
Dr. Stirnemann also led a 16-month performance improvement project for a multinational conglomerate in the energy and power sector for new equipment and aftermarket sales. She helped define and execute the turnaround plan, focusing on salesforce effectiveness and commercial operations on two major sites in Germany and France, working closely with the entire commercial organization and helping to define sales metrics and KPI dashboards, leading to improved sales performance and profitable growth in the organization.
Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Stirnemann was a Consultant with Advancy, a leading boutique strategy consulting firm in Paris, where she was worked on 10+ commercial due diligence projects for major PE equity funds and corporate clients. She conducted buy- and sell-side due diligence assessments on mid-cap consumer and industrial manufacturing companies for Ardian, CVC, Blackstone, Permira, Advent International, Bain Capital and PAI and corporate clients, including Evonik, Solvay, Imerys and Novacap.
Dr. Stirnemann earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bielefeld University in Germany and the University of Paris; a master’s degree in chemistry from Ecole Normale Supérieure; a Ph.D. from Collège de France; and a business foundations certificate (short MBA program) from INSEAD. She is fluent in French, German and English.
