With more than 25 years of indirect tax experience, Mr. Fitzgerald specialises in goods and services tax, assisting clients with tax advisory services, M&A tax due diligence and compliance issues, as well as assisting in ATO reviews and audits.

Mr. Fitzgerald specialises in financial services and has advised on significant M&A activity in the banking and wealth management sectors. He has led and implemented extensive GST reviews across a range of industries, enabling clients to optimise their GST position. Mr. Fitzgerald brings broad experience providing tax advisory services across a range of entities, including managing implementation of compliance solutions.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Fitzgerald was Head of Indirect Tax at ANZ Banking Group for more than nine years.  

Mr. Fitzgerald earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a graduate diploma — advanced tax from UNSW.
