Mr. Hsiao’s notable debt restructuring projects include: completing a debt restructuring of a listing company in solar industry, where he cooperated with IFA on due diligence, advised the bank with a clean exit strategy and assisted its recovery from a corporate guarantor during its restructuring; leading a 3-year debt restructuring for a project loan and trade finance of a steel company in Shandong, which resulted in RMB180 million in recovery.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hsiao spent more than 13 years as Head of Group Special Assets Management at Standard Chartered Bank in the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. In this role, he was responsible for the management of all problem accounts and other accounts specifically assigned to the Special Assets Management Team. This included strategy, credit reviews, amendments of new or current facilities, repayment terms, litigation, settlement, loan sale, restructuring and bankruptcy.

Previously, Mr. Hsiao worked as a credit analyst, account manager and head of the special asset management department at Hsinchu International Bank in Taiwan.

Mr. Hsiao earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Taipei University. He is fluent in Chinese and English.
