Bill Ozturk
Mr. Ozturk has held leadership and management roles in industry across the Middle East, Asia Pacific, sub-Saharan Africa, and emerging markets. He applies his diverse cultural, marketplace and managerial experiences to bring a highly commercial and pragmatic approach to stressed and distressed situations.
Most recently, Mr. Ozturk has been serving as interim Group CFO for a private equity backed global manufacturer, supporting transformation of the group’s accounting and finance function and filling leadership gaps to support day-to-day operations in dynamic and challenging trading conditions. Previously, he led the cash and liquidity function for a large distressed Middle East foreign exchange and money remittance business, helping to preserve value and develop restructuring options.
Prior to this, Mr. Ozturk oversaw the restructuring of the Middle East operations for a ~ $2 billion global contractor, reporting to the listed parent and developing and leading an implementation programme to drive cash management, headcount reduction, project completions, collections, and contingency planning, creating stability while a PE transaction was closed.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ozturk served as the Head of Finance for the Africa & Emerging Markets operations of a multinational construction chemicals and building materials manufacturer. He managed the accounting and finance function, and led growth and expansion, responsible for M&A, greenfield startups, and distribution and contract-manufacturing relationships. Mr. Ozturk also cofounded a venture capital fund that continues in its mission to improve a billion lives over the next decade.
Mr. Ozturk earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of New South Wales, Australia and completed the executive program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Starline Foundation, whose mission is to sustainably bring affordable housing solutions to Cameroon.
