Mr Ross focuses primarily on complex project delivery, finance and business transformations, strategic planning, equity and debt enhancement and stakeholder management.​ Working primarily in the fields of oil and gas and renewable energy, he has held various senior industry and investing roles. Mr Ross designed and supported the implementation of a wide range of projects, including Det Norske’s $2.7 billion acquisition of Marathon Oil Norway, which allowed Det Norske to fund its capex program through tax offsets. He then developed a dividend growth strategy for Det Norske that led to its merger with BP’s Norwegian assets to create AkerBP, one of the leading E&P’s in Europe.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ross served as CEO of Energy Infrastructure Company; Investment Director for Aker ASA; Senior Energy Analyst and Leader of the Natural Resources and Utilities team for Fidelity Investments; and Oil and Gas Analyst for Hayfin Capital Management. At Fidelity he was voted No 1 Analyst all sectors Fidelity Worldwide 2010. At Aker ASA, he designed and coordinated the delivery of Aker Solutions's carve-out of capital-intensive divisions to form Akastor, a separate private equity business; the subsequent reorganisation of both companies to improve efficiency and deliver cost savings; and the restructuring and downsizing of the Aker Group Energy companies after the 2014 fall in oil prices. Over his tenure at Aker ASA, the share price outperformed the OSX by 101 percent.

From his time at Fidelity, Hayfin and EIC, Mr Ross has deep experience of investing across the capital structure in both a public and private setting, with a focus on the energy, utilities, mining, business services and financial sectors

Mr. Ross earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physiological sciences from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Columbia University. A UK national, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
