Erick Valdes
With more than 30 years of financial services IT experience, Mr. Valdes has built from scratch and re-architected IT organizations. He has also crafted new IT operating models, involving both onshore and offshore resources; instilled proper governance, processes and procedures for end-client interactions; and managed large, global development teams with responsibility for full time support of mission-critical systems.
Mr. Valdes has completed notable assignments for Fortune 100 investment banks, hedge funds and market research firms. Most recently, he was responsible for the U.S. subsidiary of a U.K. headquartered IT consultancy. Mr. Valdes has worked with clients across a range of industries, including financial services, energy utilities and online sports-book gaming.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Valdes spent more than eight years with BJSS Inc. in New York, where he most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer. He assisted with the growth of the firm, expanding from six employees to just under 100. Additionally, he led the business developments efforts in New York and helped craft go-to-market messaging for cloud migrations, digital transformations, tech and engineering solutions.
Previously, Mr. Valdes spent over 20 years leading global application development groups at both capital markets and asset/wealth management firms.
Mr. Valdes earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems and marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
