James Toal
Mr. Toal has served in both expert and consulting roles and has testified as an expert witness and has supported settlement negotiations. He has advised clients across a broad range of industry sectors, including technology, energy, construction, financial institutions, travel, healthcare, real estate, automotive, manufacturing, and consumer products.
Mr. Toal has assisted clients with antitrust matters, complex data analysis, funds tracing and forensic accounting, damages quantifications, lost business value, business interruption and property damage claims, purchase price adjustment matters, claims reviews, accounting irregularities, fraud investigations, and insolvency analyses.
Mr. Toal’s notable recent engagements include performing solvency analyses related to oil and gas exploration and production companies; conducting valuations and damage analyses related to intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets; and determining and assessing the reasonableness of natural gas gathering rates for large natural gas gathering systems in Texas and Oklahoma.
Mr. Toal earned a bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in business administration (concentration in finance) from Trinity University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
