Kors Korsmeier
With more than 25 years of banking experience, Dr. Korsmeier has worked in many aspects of banking – structuring DCM, infrastructure and energy transactions, complex project management in regulatory stress situations, setting up and reorganizing corporate structures, and restructuring a business.
Most recently, Dr. Korsmeier managed the risk and finance divisions of a specialized infrastructure and energy financial institution. His other notable assignments include managing a multi-jurisdictional high-risk high-stakes incident in a bulge bracket firm, serving as a board member of a fully licensed bank, and restructuring a business of 250 heads. Dr. Korsmeier has worked with clients across various industries, including financial institutions, infrastructure, energy, shipping and automotive.
Prior to joining A&M, Dr. Korsmeier spent more than 20 years with Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt and three years with Kommunalkredit Austria in Vienna, where he served as Managing Director, running Risk and Finance. Among other projects, Dr. Korsmeier oversaw a €3.8 billion credit portfolio and overhauled the ICAAP/ ILAAP processes.
Dr. Korsmeier earned a bachelor’s degree in law from the London School of Economics, a degree in law from the University of Heidelberg and a Ph.D. in law from the University of Greifswald. He is a registered German lawyer and holds a certificate in sustainable finance from the Frankfurt School of Management. Dr. Korsmeier speaks German, English and conversational French.
