With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Kahle has held senior management and senior advisory roles in large-scale transformations and time-critical turnarounds. His primary focus areas are performance improvement programs and commercial transformations, including category management, pricing, sales and marketing effectiveness, omnichannel integration and operating model design and implementation. He has worked in the U.S., Asia and Europe, including serving in line management roles in Europe.
Mr. Kahle has worked across a range of retail and consumer sectors, including grocery, beauty, luxury pharmacy/drugstore, fashion/footwear, jewellery and consumer electronics across all sales channels (from department stores to digital marketplaces). His select exemplary engagements include an interim General Manager role for a European e-commerce group, a turnaround programme for a European e-commerce/marketplace platform optimization; a performance improvement programme for a European pharmacy retail group optimization; and a marketing transformation and retail media business build for a leading European beauty omnichannel retailer.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kahle spent six years with Accenture Strategy, where he most recently served as Managing Director and co-led the retail industry sector for clients in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. He was also responsible for retail M&A activities on buy- and sell-side. Before that, he was part of Kurt Salmon, a global retail strategy consultancy acquired by Accenture, focusing on supporting clients along the retail value chain.
Previously, Mr. Kahle spent 10 years as an operator in senior management roles with leading omnichannel retailers in Germany and internationally. He also founded an e-commerce start-up company, which exited via a successful going-concern sale to a strategic investor.
Mr. Kahle earned a master’s degree (DiplomKaufmann) from the University of Cologne. He has completed multiple executive education programmes and was a lecturer at Reutlingen University for international retail management. A German national, he is fluent in German and English.
