Philip Mitchell is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal's Transaction Advisory Group in London. He is EMEA TAG Practice Co-Leader. With over 20 years of transaction experience, Mr. Mitchell provides financial due diligence and transaction advisory services to private equity and corporate clients in relation to both acquisitions and disposals.

Throughout his career, Mr. Mitchell has advised U.K. and global clients across a broad spectrum of industry sectors with a strong focus on industrial, business services and healthcare. He has advised on numerous complex cross-border acquisitions, disposals and refinancings.

Mr. Mitchell brings significant experience assessing historical and projected financial performance, key business drivers, working capital and funding requirements, synergy and cost savings initiatives, carve-out considerations, sale and purchase agreements and review of financial covenants.

Mr. Mitchell has led due diligence teams on behalf of a number of private equity sponsors including Platinum Equity, GHO Capital,TDR Capital, Stirling Square Capital Partners, Silverfleet Capital, Tikehau Capital, Sovereign Capital, LDC, G Square Capital, Vitruvian Partners, Graphite Capital, HIG Capital, Apposite Capital, Levine Leichtman Capital Partners and  Elysian Capital.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mitchell worked with PwC for 16 years.

Mr. Mitchell earned a degree in economics from Bristol University. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
