Philip Rothaus is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Corporate Performance Improvement's Travel, Hospitality & Leisure practice in Miami. He specializes in the development and application of digital, data and artificial intelligence strategies in the travel, leisure and hospitality industries.
With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Rothaus has helped organizations transform their business strategies, develop new products and realize value with data, analytics and AI products. He has a proven track record of strategy development, sales and digital transformation execution for global Fortune 500 companies across the hospitality, airline, cruise, consumer goods and industrials industries. Mr. Rothaus has deep experience leading large consulting and digital transformations engagements with diverse stakeholders across multinational organizations.
Most recently, Mr. Rothaus led the transformation of a large cruise line’s revenue management function, delivering a machine-learning based end-to-end pricing system on the cloud; delivered an AI-driven workforce optimization and scheduling system for a large hospitality company, resulting in over $20 million in annual labor savings; and oversaw the corporate data, analytics and AI transformation of one of the world’s largest diversified industrials companies, identifying over $1 billion in incremental operating margin impact.
Additionally, Mr. Rothaus modernized the data platform and analytics strategy and led the change management efforts with a global hospitality company, focusing on the adoption of new platforms. He also developed the comprehensive digital talent strategy with a global airline, including sourcing and talent development.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Rothaus served as Senior Digital Strategist with Accenture Applied Intelligence, where he led the Travel & Hospitality Industry in North America. Previously, he served as Director with EveryMundo (now a part of PROS).
Mr. Rothaus earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese literature and translation at Princeton University.
