Steve Trainor
Mr. Trainor focuses on supply strategy, operating model and capability development, total cost reduction, supply risk and service outsourcing across both direct and indirect costs. He has worked with clients on numerous procurement-related performance improvement projects, identifying opportunities to improve sourcing and supply chain efficiency in the fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare and chemical processing sectors.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Trainor led his own procurement consultancy, delivering high impact procurement cost reduction and transformation projects across the U.K., Europe, U.S., Asia and the Middle East.
As Regional Managing Director of a leading outsourced procurement service provider, Mr Trainor delivered organisational and procurement efficiency solutions for a range of international clients. He was responsible for ~£5 billion of third party spend managed annually on behalf of clients. Mr Trainor has held senior procurement roles across various businesses and sectors in Europe, the U.S., and Asia. He was responsible for the global procurement operation at Reckitt and Colman and was Regional Procurement Director for Diageo across Europe.
Mr. Trainor earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Sheffield. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
