Is artificial intelligence (AI) an existential threat for software companies? For specific business models, yes, it is. But not for the entire industry. Far and away, AI is redirecting capital flows and generating new deal activity across emerging subsectors and business models.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and private equity (PE) funds acquired technology assets at record-high prices. Corporations also took advantage of the favorable market conditions to add software and technology assets to their portfolios.
The Healthcare Services sector has seen considerable private equity (PE) funding across buyouts, growth and venture capital (VC). In 2025 alone, global PE healthcare deals hit $190 billion, the second highest ever for the industry.
AI revolutionizes healthcare by enhancing financial due diligence, asset valuation, and strategy, empowering leaders to drive growth and competitive advantage.
