Alfredo Garcia is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Mexico City. He specializes in domestic and international tax matters.  

With more than 25 years of experience in tax advisory and tax compliance services, Mr. Garcia has served as a tax advisor to clients in various industries, including manufacturing, energy, money transfer business, logistics, transportation, distribution, food, beverages, alcohol, tourism, construction, communications and broadcasting. He brings extensive experience in tax consulting and tax planning for local and multinational companies, assisting groups, individual and family offices in M&A and international tax and indirect tax advisory projects.

Mr. Garcia advises multinationals investing in the LATAM region and Mexican multinationals and individuals investing around the world, particularly in matters related to industrial markets and supply chain structures. He has also advised multinational clients on tax-efficient alternatives and assisted clients in applying to and liaising with the Mexican Tax Authorities and other relevant government agencies for tax rulings and tax incentives. 

In addition to providing buy-side due diligence services, Mr. Garcia has provided sell-side assistance to clients preparing investments for sale.

Mr. Garcia earned a degree in public accounting from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional. He is Certified as a Public Accountant by the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.
